Břetislav Kovařík
Born in 1950, Pardubice.
Starting as a biology and chemistry teacher, going on as a driving instructor, a truck driver, a dormitory warden, to become a manager of a culture centre and, after then, a night guard back again. At last, after the political change in 1989, a freelancer.
The first cartoon published in 1977, the others following to appear in the years to come both at home and abroad, making their way onto the pages of newspapers, journals and magazines and, afterwads, to advertisement and commecial prints.
Since 1999 holding the office of the Chairman of the Czech Cartoonist Union in Prague, still living and working in Trutnov.
